Knowledge Sharing Workshops

Cross Sector Working: The LOCAL Project are active members of the Lancashire Social Value Network facilitated by Lancashire County Council. An initial discussion with Scott Latta, (Eric Wright Group) about information and skills sharing to benefit VCFSE groups led to the creation of a VCFSE/Private sector digital knowledge sharing event.

In September 2025 The LOCAL Project working in partnership with the North West Construction Hub hosted a pilot series of digital knowledge & skills sharing workshops delivered by NWCH members from across the North West.

With thanks to the North West Construction Hub and the organisations who shared their knowledge & skills: Galliford Try | Conlon Construction | F. Parkinson Ltd | Warden Construction | Eric Wright Group | Russell WBHO |

Attendee Feedback

Thank you everyone, had 3 really good sessions today
Brilliant and really useful sessions!
Thanks for today’s workshop.
It was fantastic.
I really enjoyed the way we got a PowerPoint and then Q&A.
A lot of workshops I attend just put us in groups and expect conversation to flow; I just felt it gave an opening for everyone to focus and ask the questions that matter 🙂
Thank you for organising the NW Construction Hub workshops this morning.
There were some real nuggets of information that I found useful, and it was well worth attending. Each time I come away with something new that I can apply in my work.
I went into 3 and the marketing and funding were particularly helpful with more space to ask questions; the 2 presenters were much more connected to us as small organisations.
Really enjoyed the different delivery approaches/people/organisations to each workshop. This kept them from being boring having the same face, organisation or delivery method all the time.
I got the questions answered and the reassurance I need in the way I am currently running our organisation. Which is one of the main reasons I signed up to these.

Going Forward…

Feedback from the participants included the request to make the individual workshop sessions longer than the initial pilot of 30 minutes. Many attendees told us they loved the format, but would welcome a longer session in order to ask questions and have the unique opportunity to discuss their own organisations and situations.
