As the lead co-ordinator for the LOCAL (Locally organised communities across Lancashire) project, I am totally committed to the 9 priorities set out in the VCFSE Manifesto for Lancashire 14 (A-VCFSE-Sector-Manifesto-for-Lancashire-2022-6.pdf (locallancashire.org.uk), to aid the sustainability of the VCFSE sector and help to bring about the changes that are needed to improve the wellbeing of our communities.
Greg has worked in the VCFSE sector across Lancashire for over 24 years in senior management roles in health, housing, community development, and rural development, including most recently as a Chief Officer for 13 years for a VCFSE umbrella support organisation. Greg started his VCFSE experience in London as a volunteer street outreach worker with the homeless community.….READ MORE

Rachel Coupe, Place Co-Ordinator, North Lancashire & Preston

Rachel is LOCAL Place Coordinator for North Lancashire and Preston, leading on priority themes of “a Safer Lancashire” and “Employment and skills”. She also leads on networking and sector engagement, mapping and data recording. Since July 2025 she has facilitated the Wyre VCFSE Network and the Fylde VCFSE Network.
Rachel is an enthusiastic people-connector who joined LOCAL for the opportunity to use her community knowledge, networking and communication skills to bring about positive change for the organisations providing vital services in Lancashire..…READ MORE

Rachel Wheble, Place Co-Ordinator, Central & West Lancashire

Working across Lancashire 14 with a focus on Central Lancashire & West Lancashire, Rachel brings her extensive expertise to the LOCAL Project, alongside studying full time as an undergraduate at the University of Central Lancashire, towards a BA(Hons) in Applied Community and Social Care Studies.
Rachel has worked within the VCFSE sector for almost 15 years, including establishing one of the first foodbank projects which combined both ambient food with fresh local produce vouchers – a scheme which is still running today.…READ MORE
