LACVS LOCAL Conference 2025

The Lancashire Association of CVS:

LOCAL Annual Conference 2025: Working in Partnership to Tackle Poverty Wednesday 2nd April 9.30am – 3.30pm, Lancastrian Suite, Chorley

Massive thank you to the 100+ attendees and all the fantastic speakers who joined us in Chorley at the LACVS LOCAL Project Annual Conference 2025: Working in Partnership to Tackle Poverty

Many thanks to all our speakers for giving their time & knowledge to the event – we know there has been a lot of networking and great contacts made and energised at the event.

To all our attendees thank you for giving your time & knowledge to share experiences, ideas and questions.

Key Take Aways from Tracy Hopkins,

-When we talk about poverty we can become sidetracked by other agendas. Poverty is simply, a lack of money. It is not inevitable or impossible to change, it’s because of political decisions that people end up living in poverty.
-The work of the VCFSE is life saving and vital in tackling poverty.
-When we come together, we create opportunities that have the potential to make real and lasting change.
-We absolutely must involve people with lived experience in decision making. They know what is needed and, if we listen, we will too.
